Our Services
We offer a variety of modalities to better suit you.
-
Chiropractic adjustments are precise, controlled movements applied to the joints of the spine and extremities to help restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function.
Restricted or poorly moving joints can contribute to stiffness, discomfort, muscle tension, and altered movement patterns. By improving joint motion, adjustments may help the body move more efficiently and comfortably.
-
Dry needling is a skilled treatment technique that uses thin, sterile needles to target tight muscles, trigger points, and areas of tissue dysfunction. By releasing muscle tension and improving blood flow, dry needling can help reduce pain, restore mobility, and promote the body's natural healing process. It is commonly used to treat muscle strains, chronic pain, sports injuries, headaches, neck and back pain, and joint dysfunction.
-
Myofascial release is a hands-on soft tissue therapy used to address muscle tightness, tension, and movement restrictions within the muscles and surrounding connective tissue.
Muscle overuse, injury, stress, and poor movement patterns can lead to areas of increased tension and tissue restriction that may contribute to pain, stiffness, and decreased mobility. Through targeted manual techniques, myofascial release helps improve tissue mobility, reduce muscular tension, and promote more efficient movement.
-
Low level laser therapy (LLLT), also known as photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to help stimulate tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and decrease pain.
This therapy works by delivering light energy to injured or irritated tissues, where it may help support cellular function and promote the body’s natural recovery processes. Low level laser therapy is commonly used for muscle strains, tendon irritation, joint pain, and soft tissue injuries.
-
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic sound waves to help stimulate healing, improve blood flow, and reduce pain in injured or chronically irritated tissues.
This therapy is commonly used for tendon, muscle, and soft tissue conditions that have not responded well to rest or traditional treatment alone. The mechanical stimulation provided by shockwave therapy may help promote tissue remodeling, improve circulation, and encourage the body’s natural healing response.
-
Therapeutic exercise is an individualized, movement-based approach designed to improve strength, mobility, stability, and overall function.
Pain and injury are often influenced by more than just the site of symptoms. Weakness, poor movement patterns, reduced mobility, and decreased tissue capacity can all contribute to ongoing discomfort and recurrent injury. Therapeutic exercise helps address these underlying factors by improving how the body moves and performs.
Who We Are
Dr. Joseph Ware, D.C., is the founder of Virtus Chiropractic and a native of Rayne, Louisiana. Growing up active in sports, he experienced firsthand how injuries can limit performance and quality of life. Through those experiences, he discovered the benefits of chiropractic care at a young age. sparking a long-term interest in helping others move and feel better.
Dr. Ware attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned his degree in kinesiology with a concentration in pre-professional studies. He then went on to Texas Chiropractic College, graduating cum laude and earning recognition as a member of the Omega Psi Honor Society.
Dr. Ware is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). The CSCS credential is recognized as the gold standard for professionals who specialize in exercise science, strength training, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
Dr. Ware takes a modern, evidence-informed approach to musculoskeletal care. His treatment style combines chiropractic adjustments with targeted rehabilitation, soft tissue work, and performance-based strategies to not only reduce pain, but improve strength, movement, and long-term resilience.
At Virtus Chiropractic, the goal is simple: help patients move better, get stronger, and return to the activities that matter most; without unnecessary treatment plans or long-term commitments.

At this time, Virtus Chiropractic operates as a cash-based practice and is not in-network with insurance providers.
This model allows us to focus on what matters most: providing individualized, high-quality care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. Rather than dictating treatment based on insurance guidelines or visit restrictions, our care plans are designed around each patient’s specific needs, goals, and clinical presentation.
Upon request, we can provide a superbill that patients may submit to their insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and will vary depending on your individual insurance plan and benefits.
